Baba Atal Gurdwara is situated near Golden Temple.The nine storied Gurdwara is built in the memory of Baba Atal Rai ji.He was son of sixth Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and Mata Mahadevi Ji.He was born in 1619 A.D.Baba Atal ji was very wise and mature by nature.He was a deeply religious and intellectual from his early age.Baba means wise old man.He was called Baba because of his wisdom.
                          Guru Hargobind Sahib ji loved his son and used to cuddle him.Guru ji always learnt him ,'God has given you spiritual powers , Don't use it on little things.Don't show and waste your power.'Baba Atal ji used to say his father 'your storehouse can never be empty.'
                       Baba Atal ji used to play with his age mates every evening.He talked very wisely.He had deep meaning in his every logic.All his age mates respected and obeyed him.
              One day Baba Atal ji played on until the night fell.It was mutually agreed that Baba Atal ji would have his turn of playing with bat and Mohan, his playmate would have turn of throwing ball.All it was decided for next morning.They returned home at that time.At that night Mohan got up from his bed. It was pitch dark.He was bitten by cobra.When he screamed,his parents rushed to him.They found him fainting.A Hakim (doctor) came to check him but poison was spread in body and he was dead.
                       Next morning all the playmates reached the playground except Mohan.Atal Rai ji enquired the matter and went straight to Mohan's home.He found him dead . Mohan's parents were in deep mourning.Baba ji said,'Its not possible.Get up Mohan .It's your turn of throwing ball today.'Baba Atal ji touched Mohan and he opened his eyes and spoke Waheguru.The matter of Mohan's revival spread out.Guru Hargobind Sahib ji heard about it.He was not pleased to listen it.He said to his son,"I always told you that you should not use your Spiritual Powers.Guru ji learnt many things and told that he has broken the law of nature.'Baba Atal Rai ji understood the point.He took his holy bath and went to his Meditation Place .He recited Japji Sahib.After that he departed peacefully for his True Home in 1628 A.D.Guru Hargobind Sahib ji heard this and accepted it as wish of Almighty .Baba Atal Rai was just nine years old when he went back to his True Home.Baba Atal 's body was cremated at the spot where he had renounced it.Guru ji announced,'A nine storied memorial will be built here.'Guruji  gave blessings that nobody will remain hungry at your place and every wish will be fulfilled of needy people.' So it is said 'BABA ATAL PAKIAN PAKAYIA KALL' .Langar is available for 24 hours in this Gurdwara.There is Kaulsar Gurdwara on the one side of Baba Atal Gurdwara.Guruji built it in the memory of his true devotee Bibi Kaulan.She was fond of Baba Atal Rai too.
                There is JOT (holy lamp). darshan on ninth floor of Gurdwara . But it has timings in a day to go on top floor.The view of Golden Temple looks so beautiful from here.

How to Meditate and Waheguru Simran

What is Meditation and why it is required:Meditation is an activity in which our mind gets deep rest and internal peace.We are living stressful life.Lot of people are having disease of depression.Meditation gives relax to our brain and soul.Many thoughts come in our mind which make our mood and behavior good or bad.
There are 8 types of thoughts:
1.Negative Thoughts:There are five thieves :Kaam,Krodh,Lobh,Moh,Ahankar (lust,rage,greed,attachment,conceit)inside us which kill calmness of mind.
2.Toxic Thoughts:Thoughts of Anger,Jealous,Revenge destroy peace of mind.These are Toxic Thoughts.
3.Waste Thoughts: Sometimes we are sitting here and our mind is somewhere else . These are wasted thoughts.
4.Positive Thoughts:Control Negativity in mind which make us stay positive in every situation.
5.Elevated Thoughts:These are Religious Thoughts related to God and give us peace and joy.
6.Right Thoughts:These Thoughts show us directions in life.
7.Necessary Thoughts:We are planning for our future step in our Thoughts .These Thoughts are required  and necessary for us.
8. Thoughtless Stage(Sehaj Awastha):This is stage of Divine and joyful experience with the blessing of Almighty.
We can control our negative thoughts if our mind is relaxed.We have to do regular activity to find stability in life.
Waheguru Jaap with Meditation: 'Waheguru' word is Guru Mantra in Sikhism. 'Wahe' means Wonderful and 'Guru' means Lord. Waheguru means 'Wonderful Lord'.Meditation with Waheguru Simran{Jaap} creates love for Guru in our soul. If Simran is done in peace it works differently and negative thoughts can be controlled.At this stage we try to connect with Omnipotent and detach from our outside.
How to do Waheguru Simran:First of all after closing eyes take a deep breath and relax.Keep silence for a while.Process should be in peace so that practice can be done properly.Now observe yourself what is happening in your mind.When you observe yourself with concentration no thought will come at that time.Try to detach yourself from any voice,any movement surrounding you.
Now SPEAK Waheguru as chanting in normal sound and in slow tone.The best thing is to tie a black band on your eyes.Start Meditation from 5 min.to 10 min in beginning.Then extend time according to practice. Make stamina to sit continue in straight position everyday .After repeating the spiritual word now LISTEN to your spoken word.Follow three steps Peaceful environment ,Speaking Waheguru ,Listening Waheguru. The best time to meditate is  3 am to 5 am.At this time toxins can come out from brain and body easily.Regular Waheguru Simran connect us with supreme power and our state of mind gets balance.If there is balance in mind level,our thoughts will not disturb us.So negative thoughts as well can be controlled by Waheguru Simran with Meditation.Every human has spiritual powers in his internal but hard to find that.We are stuck in negative and toxic thoughts.Stay connect with Waheguru and give relax and peace to your soul.One day when Guruji bless a stage comes Thoughtless Stage (Sehaj Awastha)in which world's every attractive thing seems fake and reality comes out in front of you.

Golden Temple is the holiest worship place of  sikhism.World's largest kitchen is located in parikarma of Golden Temple.Approximate one lakh devotees eat meal[langar] everyday.  Langar is available  for all 24 hours in 365 days.First Guru of sikhism Guru Nanak Dev Ji started the tradition of langar. Sitting together and having meal with each other is symbol of equality of humanity.

                                       
         A large number of provision's quantity is used for cooking.20 quintals lentil,12 quintals desi ghee,100 quintals flour and 20 quintals rice are used everyday.60 kg tea, 10 quintals sugar and 10 quintals milk are used for making tea.70 to 80 cylinders are used everyday for cooking. The speciality of langar is that its food is pure vegetarian and its simple and healthy food.Dal chapati along with dry vegetable is simply delicious  food and kheer is also made for desert.
                              Its very hard to serve approximate one lakh people in a day.In special occasions,Gurpurab or holidays the numbers of devotees come to double.So there are 300 volunteers are there to do such a hard work.They are called Sewadar.Not only volunteers sangat also do sewa like chopping vegetables,washing utensils and much more.Devotees do unconditional sewa.Hygene is also considered as well.Utensils are washed four times at a time.
                There are two chapati making machines in basement of langar hall.It kneads flour makes rolls and prepares lakhs of chapatis in a day. Small machine makes 5000 chapatis and bigger machine makes 10000 chapatis in one hour. Devotees and sewadar also do sewa to maintain everything.They apply ghee on all chapatis.chapatis are sent to langar hall to serve. Here the most sacred and blessed place of sikhism gives the internal satisfaction and peace of mind.People who come and do sewa in Harmandir Sahib forget differences of castes and religions .They just do unconditional serving with feel of equality.

History of  Dukh Bhanjni Beri: In Patti city there was an egoistic landlord named Dhuni Chand.He had five beautiful daughters.One day he invited all his daughters and asked them,"who provides you meal ."Four sisters answered ,"Of course you give us everything ."But his youngest daughter Rajni said that there is only God who provides us everything and take care of us. Dhuni Chand got very angry .He married his daughter with a leper.Rajni didnot care about it and took it as almighty's wish. She served his husband with care and love.
                             She took him to many villages.One day she reached near village Tung and keep her husband in shade of  tree near a pond and went to take meal for them.Her husband suddenly saw a wonder.Crows were dipping in the water of pond and they were changed into white colour from black.He was surprised .He tried to go into pond with the help of root of tree.when he took bath ,his disease was totally recovered.When Rajni came back she didn't believe it and she had doubt that this man killed her husband.Then her husband told whole story and cleared her doubts.They thanked to God.
                                 In those days GuruRamdas ji was doing services of Santokhsar Gurdwara.They met Guruji and told about this miracle.Then Guruji blessed them and named this miracle place Dukh Bhanjni Sahib.There was a beri tree so it is called as Dukh Bhanjni Beri as well.Whoever takes bath in holy water with true soul,gets rid of any disease.This beri tree is in parikarma of Golden Temple.Lakhs of devotees take bath in sacred water
 Many devotees recovered their illness too. A girl whose eyesight was gone in an accident came here after hospitalization.She stayed in Golden Temple and took daily bath in Dukh Bhanjni Beri with firm believe in God.Waheguru blessed her faith and she got her eyesight back.

 HARMANDIR SAHIB: ' DITHE SABHE THAV NAHI TUDH JEHEYA '

Golden Temple is famous gurudwara of Sikhism,built in the centre of nector tank.Third Guru of Sikhism Guru AmarDas ji ordered fourth Guru RamDas ji to create a holy tank of nector.Guru RamDas ji started this task in 1578 CE.Work was done in supervision of Baba BuddaJi.Construction of Golden Temple was started in 1585 by fifth Guru Arjun Dev ji.Muslim faqir Hazrat Miya Meer ji laid foundation stone of Golden Temple.Guruji completed the project of Golden Temple  in 1604 and installed Guru Granth Sahib in gurudwara sahib.It is known as Harmandir sahib as well.Four entrances of Golden Temple tell the significance of equality of all religions.There is gurudwara Akal Takhat Sahib is located in front of Harmandir Sahib.Sixth Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji made this place to take political decisions.He taught his sikhs that power is also required along with worship.He created two swords Miri and Piri.In starting of 19th century Mahraja Ranjit singh renovated the building of Harmandir Sahib with gold work. Thats why Harmandir Sahib is called as Golden Temple.One lakh devotees come in Golden Temple everyday and  many people do unconditional sewa{serving}.
SCHEDULE TIMINGS OF  GOLDEN TEMPLE:

At 

1 am devotees sit outside the closed portals{kiwad sahib} and do Sukhmani sahib path.Kiwad sahib opens at 2.30 am.Sangat goes inside the Harmandir Sahib.Different ragis do kirtan from opening to closing doors according to their duty.View of opening kiwad sahib looks wonderful and gives spiritual feeling.At 4.30 am Guru Granth Sahib ji is brought in Palki Sahib with great love and respect of sikhs.First Hukamnama is read at 5 am by Granthi.After first Ardas prasad{holy offering} is distributed at 5.30 am.Rehras Sahib path begins at 6.45 pm.After Sukhasan of Guru Granth Sahib ji night hukamnama is read by Granthi at 10 pm.Then departure of Guru Granth Sahib happens with great respect and brought in Palki Sahib to Akal Takhat Sahib at 10.30 pm. Palki Sahib ceremony is very joyful and incredible view looks over there.After departure vounteers closed the doors {kiwad sahib} and they clean the place of  inside Harmandir Sahib.                                                                                                                                       There is Langar Hall in parikarma of Golden Temple.3000 devotees are served food in one hour. There are 300 volunteers for langar hall managment.Langar is provided 24 hours and 365 days in Golden Temple.There are two chapati making machines in basement of langar hall which makes lakhs of chapatis in a day.                        
                                                       There is a old beri tree with nector  in parikarma.This is historical place called Dukh Bhanjni Beri.Whoever takes bath in it with true soul and firm believe in God ,gets rid of any disease.Many devotees recovered their diseases because of their faith in this blessed holy nector.
