Its very hard to serve approximate one lakh people in a day.In special occasions,Gurpurab or holidays the numbers of devotees come to double. So there are 300 volunteers are there to do such a hard work. They are called Sewadar. Not only volunteers sangat also do sewa like chopping vegetables, washing utensils and much more.Devotees do unconditional sewa.Hygene is also considered as well.Utensils are washed four times at a time.
There are two chapati making machines in basement of langar hall.It kneads flour makes rolls and prepares lakhs of chapatis in a day. Small machine makes 5000 chapatis and bigger machine makes 10000 chapatis in one hour. 1. The best time to visit the Golden Temple is in the winter months (October to March) when the weather is pleasant and it even gets cold here.
